The Central Library of Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) is located in the heart of the institution and is therefore accessible to students at all times. The three-storey library is fully air- conditioned and occupies a total area of about 70,000 square feet and can accommodate 800 users at a time.

There are six major central libraries:
- Health Sciences Library, Manipal
- Health Sciences Library, Mangalore
- MIT Library
- SOC Library
- WGSHA Library
- SOM Library
These libraries are accessible to all students of MAHE.
Besides these central libraries, each constituent institute has its own library. There are also department level libraries in all of the institutes, with the latest collection of books, journals, online sources, dissertations etc. for course work and research.
